Unfinished Business

Back-Blogging
I’ve mentioned (probably way too often) the numerous one-half-to-three-quarters-completed posts that I’ve accumulated like bad habits over the years. Some of them are single, one-off posts; others are portions of blog series’ that I never quite got around to finishing. At this point it just seems to be the way that I operate; I really wish it was different, but it is what it is and I yam what I yam.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to re-institute as a matter of course, my practice of gradually completing these old, ‘started-but-never-finished’ blog posts and reinserting them into the timeline in their proper order whenever I’m able to find the time to get ‘em done.

I guess you could say that I’ve grown tired of beating myself up over a problem that I’ve decided really isn’t a problem; it’s just being AJ being AJ. :)

So, as I find the time to go back and finish up these tardy-come-lately tales, I'll back-date them to the time when they were originally intended to be published, then post a brief blog entry to let you know about it, along with a permalink to take you there. That way I’ll be able to finish up stories that I feel are still worth being a part of the blog but may no longer as timely as they should have been, while still giving you a chance to find them at the top of the current timeline.

So whenever you see the headline prefix, Unfinished Business, you’ll know that it’s referring to a story or series that for one reason or another I ran short of time finishing, or acquired a case of writer’s block that prevented me from posting it when originally intended. It’s the best solution that I know of to maintain the chronological flow of post subjects in the grand scheme of this personal life-narrative that is this blog.
